Meet Createctura
Createctura is a Spain-based project bringing together art, design, architecture and pedagogy. We create installations, play environments and workshops, and share our approach through professional learning for educators and cultural organisations.
From practice: Espacio al Cubo. At CEIP Eloy Villanueva in Santander, an underused school hall became an evolving space for play and exploration between 2017 and 2020. Light, materials and changing arrangements invited children to discover new ways of using the space.

Ideas from real projects
Learn from experiences developed in schools, theatres, festivals and cultural centres.
Try a five-minute observation
Choose a familiar learning or play space. Before planning a redesign, look at what the setting already invites.
- Notice the invitations. Where can someone move, build, explore or find quiet? Which activities occupy most of the space?
- Look for alternatives. Can different people use the environment in different ways at the same time? What options are missing?
- Imagine one small change. Choose a material, arrangement or lighting condition you could vary. What would you want to observe before deciding whether to keep it?
The course develops these questions through Createctura projects, texts, recorded materials and live discussion.
